Product Review: Dulhan Mehendi (Henna)

I have been using Dulhan Mehendi (henna) for years! This henna gives a nice dark stain that lasts me about 2 weeks. To achieve this dark stain I add a few drops of lavender tea tree lemon eucalyptus or clove essential oil. Lemon juice can be added to give a dark stain as well. Sugar is added to help the paste stay on the skin. Henna has a pleasant earthy scent, rose water can be used to add a wonderful aroma.

Henna has cooling properties which can be helpful if you have a headache. Henna can help keep your hair dark. Henna naturally yields dye that can give you colors within the red, brown or orange range. On black hair it can give you red highlights in the sun.

Henna has been used for thousands of years in places such as India and Africa. The patterns and placement on the body have great cultural significance. Henna is used for many ceremonies.
