Graduation Dress Chosen

Many families love going dress shopping for a high school graduation and we are no exception. Marisol wanted a white dress that would be very unique in design. We looked in dress shops in Cary NC, Atlanta GA and Marisol found her dream dress back in Fayettevile NC.

We were driving home from downtown our art district when saw a new shop was preparing for their grand opening. We parked our car and the second we saw the display in the window Marisol had found her perfect graduation dress!

When we saw the dress all of us thought of "Alice in Wonderland" and the white roses that were painted red.

The wonderful establishment is called Bertie's retro boutique, which provides all things greaser, pinup and retro.

This family owned business has a wonderful owner and staff members that make you feel like you are at home enjoying vintage movies and talking to family about the coolest fashions of their time.

The store has a television that plays vintage movies as you browse through the crystal brooches, heart shaped glasses frames, shades and fishnet fingerless gloves.

There are various shadowboxes paying homage to the pinup, greaser and vintage fashion.

One of our favorite features of course was the dressing room. It was as if Marisol had a photo shoot set up with all of her props.

There was a lovely red velvet chase that we HAD to take pictures on!
